Yijun Sun

Yijun Sun was born in China and educated in Canada and New York. She is a painter currently living and working in New York City. Ms. Sun expresses herself boldly through her paintings with a robust style characterized by forceful brushstrokes, expressive color and dynamic energy. She involves herself in the creative process and strives to produce new and original works of art. As Ms. Sun states, "In my every move with the loaded brush, it is clear what I leave in and what I leave out. My paintings come from the very center of myself rather than from those peripheral areas in which a craving for success is the prime motivation."
